Rachel Ginebra is an accomplished classical guitarist based in Miami, FL. Originally from Pinar del Río, Cuba, she began her musical journey at an early age and continued her studies at the Frost School of Music, University of Miami, where she earned her Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Artist Diploma under the guidance of Rafael Padron. During her time at Frost, she was awarded second place at the Miami Youth Guitar Competition in 2011 and participated in masterclasses with world-renowned guitarists including Alvaro Pierri, Aniello Desiderio, Berta Rojas, Ana Vidović, Miloš Karadaglić, Jason Vieux, and Denis Azabagić.
Driven by her passion for the guitar, Rachel pursued a Doctoral degree at the prestigious Eastman School of Music, University of Rochester, recognized as one of the top 5 music schools in the United States. There, she studied under Dr. Nicholas Goluses and served as his Teaching Assistant. She also earned a Performer Certificate from Eastman in 2021 and currently teaches at the Penfield Guitar School.
Rachel is dedicated not only to teaching but also to performing, aiming to share the beauty of classical guitar with diverse audiences. Central to her artistry is her mission to glorify God through music—at the conclusion of each concert, she performs a hymn as a testament of faith. Outside of her professional life, Rachel enjoys playing at church and exploring her passion for cooking.
